Cambria Hotel Columbia Downtown the Vista

Beautiful place, rooms were very nice, handicapped room we got for our second night was set up very well. Main reason for 4 not 5 stars was reservation service did not rely our needs correctly, causing us to not have a handicapped room, causing us to have to go and purchase a shower chair and try and make it work. Darrell at the front desk after the first night did a great job rectifying that problem, and Abby provided exceptional service at breakfast.

My family and I were in town for Ft. Jackson boot camp graduation. As a loyal Hilton Honors member, I found myself unimpressed with the available Hilton properties in Columbia. I stumbled across Cambria as I was trying to think outside the box and decided to take a chance and book. Although it was downtown, it was still a lot less expensive than some of the surrounding hotels and the ones closer to the base. I am so glad I chose this one. It was an amazing stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful when asking for their input on local dining options. The room was clean and modern. They were very accommodating from asking for extra towels to needing extra bedding so one of my kids could sleep on the sofa. The shower was amazing and the mattresses were very comfortable, I had the best sleep after a long day of traveling. I couldn’t be happier with this stay and am looking forward to staying at Cambria in other cities. The one and only disappointment was that the restaurant’s menu could be expanded, nothing was appealing to us so we just Ubered some food. And it was short staffed, the bartender was the only person working between the bar and the restaurant. Other than those minor issues, it was a just about perfect hotel stay. And I totally regret not taking photos - but their rooms actually do look like the ones you see online.

The room was nice, and the service was good. The bar (Eric) was a great bartender, and we enjoyed our vibe with the other guests that night. I appreciate housekeeping only comes when requested. Breakfast was good also and the waiter he was very friendly

Planning an overnight trip to Columbia, SC with my friend (a Columbia native) led us to the Cambria - Vista, and we were so pleased with our stay. The convenience of finding free parking upon arrival was a great start. The front desk clerk was exceptionally kind and personable, going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was immaculate and felt very modern, a theme that continued throughout the entire hotel. Despite being in a lively area, our room was surprisingly quiet. We also appreciated the safe and walkable neighborhood, with a variety of restaurants and coffee shops just a short stroll away. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at the Cambria - Vista and wouldn't hesitate to book it again for future trips.

This place is five stars from beginning to end! From the valet, front desk and especially the Bartender, Erica - everyone was so friendly and made you feel so welcome. The rooms were perfect even loved the Bluetooth capability of the bathroom mirror. What a nice touch! This will be our go to hotel when in Columbia!

The staff was very nice!!! The room was very small (but photos show this so we were aware). I did NOT like the bathroom doors, which are heavy sliding "barn" doors that don't really close flush to the wall, leaving a quarter inch gap for bathroom sounds to escape from. Bring money for the valet or parking as it isn't included but there is lots in walking distance.

My dream hotel, to be honest! This place could not be more amazing. The booking was easy through choice hotels. I mean truly this place is just stunning. They have everything you could want. This is an elevated and elegant vibe. The valet is amazing, they will do anything for you, making it so easy. The hotel itself is just stunning, and great location in downtown Columbia. An amazing bar is located in the hotel lobby. Amazing breakfast. The rooms were better than we could have ever asked for. So modern and really clean. The beds are SO comfortable, along with the pillows. It was the best shower I have ever had, that water pressure is no joke! Generous amounts of shampoo and conditioner given, which is so appreciated. The hotel staff care about your stay, which is so nice. You can text the hotel staff anytime if there is anything that would make your stay more enjoyable. We had forgotten toothpaste, and a shower cap. They were more than happy to provide me with replacements, and the text feature made it so easy. All around it was such an incredible stay at this hotel. When coming here again, we will absolutely be staying here. Thank you so much to all of the positive and kind staff.
